This place hired someone who stole my SSI # and is doing NOTHING to fix it! I suggest if your going to go here don't bring you wallet in with you just bring cash cause you don't know what else they will allow to be stolen and then turn their heads from the issue.

I just read about the manager in Texas who was fired when she wouldn't repay money that was stolen during an armed robbery. I realize this was at a franchise, but it has the Popeye's name, and therefore, some responsibility lies with corporate headquarters. The fact that this employee is pregnant is what I think this is really about, it's just a way to get rid of her without looking bad. Guess what? That isn't really working out for them, is it? I expect her to be reinstated with a raise by next week. She should be commended for working and not being on welfare like so many people are. Give this woman her job back!!

Y'all have just dragged the Popeye's name through the mud -- you fired a shift manager because she was robbed at gunpoint and then refused to repay the $400 the armed robber took. And she's pregnant. Really, dudes? For $400? Now I read that, about 3 weeks later after the word has gotten out, you've offered her the job back plus $2000 in back pay. Too little, too late. That's going to be one expensive robbery. Much as I love that chicken, I won't be frequenting any Popeye's anytime soon. And it looks like there's a whole lot of other people who feel the same way.

I just read about your despicable action in firing a pregnant worker for handing over the cash in her till to an ARMED ROBBER. Instead of firing her, you should have given her a day off, with pay, to recover from that ordeal, and commended her for having the presence of mind to hand over the cash, which may have spared the lives of her, her coworkers, and who knows how many customers.

Unbelievable - I will no longer patronize any Popeye's restaurant until this abominable situation is rectified.

While I am actually a big fan of Popeye's chicken, the ugly behavior of management for this corporation taints everything they sell. Make whatever excuses you like, this does not mitigate the damage done by firing a pregnant employee whose life was threatened while working in your establishment. Rules are fine as guidelines but when they are not limited by compassion and common sense, they can be evil. I figure you were looking for a way to fire her anyway as she was pregnant. My hope is that your bottom line will be so negatively impacted that you learn that this is not acceptable behavior in a civilized community.

Terrible company. Should be boycotted. They tried to extort $400. from a manager after the store was robbed. Give me a break! Is this even legal? And when the pregnant manager (who had been threatened at gunpoint) refused to pay back the money that was taken in the robbery, they fired her. She should get a lawyer and sue these people. They are obviously unethical. Do not eat at their Popeye's franchise and please boycott any and all of their businesses. Scumbags.

To whom it may concern:

I happen to be dealing with a medical billing issue and I was reviewing some financial records today looking for medical transactions. Sure enough my insurance company just told me that I finally met the other day. My accounting revealed that at this time, I have more than already met my $7000 deductible, as I have spent $10,307 this year on my own personal medical expenses so now I must chase after them to get my money returned to me.

The fact that Popeyes, a national chain I might add, doesn't have the time or the resources to take the time to follow up to ensure that my refund has been processed after this amount of time seems intentional to me. So, I have attached a copy of my credit card statement, that thankfully i was able to pay off in full this month.

I would appreciate your assistance in getting both a personal phone call. an apology, and a refund of the original charge. If that happens within this before one business week, then I will be satisfied with your response.

That manager that fired Ms. Holcomb should be FIRED. Even if she has past issues of "too much money in the register", to fire someone after a traumatic incident like that and being pregnant, she should sue the company and that manager for distress to her and her unborn child, as well as endangering her life! I USED TO eat at Popeyes about once a week, now I will be driving right on by. If I see more articles on the manager being fired, her being properly compensated (not just lost wages), then I would consider this situation amended...

Ultimately Z&H Foods is responsible for the actions of their employees AND managers. She was a hero and probably saved her own life and other peoples lives in your establishment!
