I already knew the brand, but when I visited their store in SoHo, I was impressed by how knowledgeable and friendly the staff were. As a woman new to raw denim, they took their time to explain the different fits, the story behind each styles and made sure I found the perfect pair without rushing me. Their passion is genuine! They even offered free hemming, which I needed.
Definitely a go-to if you want expert advice and a quality selection, or impress a friend who’s into raw Japanese denim.

Shopping experience was fine nothing bad just average. I bought two pairs of jeans they were supposed to get hemmed. I picked them up and flew home as it was my last day in NYC. Only when I got home (Portland) to notice they only hemmed one pair of jeans. Now going to have to spend money to get the other pair hemmed. So that’s not cool. Make sure to check they do what they say they'll do before leaving the store.

I hate writing bad reviews but I had a very bad experience here. Let me just say the actual denim is amazing. I have had two pairs of jeans from Naked and Famous that have lasted me ten years that I bought from a store in Seattle called Blue Owl. So I wanted to buy my partner a pair from here for his birthday. The staff was rude and dismissive to us as if we were wasting their time when we asked to try on different fits to see what would look best on my partner. This in itself is not great, but hey, service work can be tough! I understand. The thing that makes this place deserve one star is the differential treatment. We were treated like we were peasants who did not belong there. But other customers were treated very well. We were told the size in the specific fit and color we were looking for was out and told to try online (even though we also wanted the clothing hemmed which they do in store). And then I immediately overheard him tell another customer to come back in a month when things would be back in stock. We would ask to try on another fit and he acted like we were wasting his time. Another customer would do the same and he would immediately help them and give them advice. This is one of those things where you can't prove anything but the fact is we were a gay couple and the rest all appeared to be straight men. And that's the only thing I could think of that differentiated us from the others. Extremely disappointing. My recommendation: don't buy from here. If you're ever in Seattle, go to Blue Owl to buy Naked and Famous denim. There they don't treat you like second class citizens.

Loved it! I was skeptical about the size they recommended but they assured me it was the right size. After taking the pants home, washing, and wearing for a while - they were totally right! I love my new pants and really appreciated the sizing expertise.

The store staff was very helpful and patient. I was buying my first pair of N&F denim and didn’t know what size or cut or color I wanted. I tried on about a dozen pairs. They let me borrow a chunky belt to test with the jeans as well. Overall great experience and I’m loving my new Left Hand Twill jeans!

We were visiting NYC for the first time and this was must stop. It is very difficult to check fit and feel of raw denim through mail order. I was excited to try N and Fs different fits. The staff was very helpful on getting me the sizes and styles I was interested in. I finally settled on a pair and walked out with a great memento of my visit to NYC.
