UPDATE: I reached out to the parent company and provided the comment below. Perhaps they will call the owner of this Aurora division.
Well, I see that this company has a 1.6 for Stars rating. So I sincerely doubt that my review or anyone else's will make any difference to the leadership of this company. However, I will jot a couple of things down anyway in the hopes that someone in the company will take notice and actually do something, and act like a legitimate leader.
1. The individuals they sent on two of the three trips out do not have even a mediocre command of the English language. Not an issue if you are in a country where Spanish is the national language. But, at least for now, America still designates English as the national language. The third trip was better.
2. They appear to use old Ryder rental trucks for their deliveries. Not an issue if they also provide the correct equipment to offload a 398lb vanity with a marble counter top. They had a traditional baby dolly (how quaint) and only two people. The first delivery, it was dropped and it broke the counter top. We sent it back. The second time (with a new vanity, but same weight) the vanity was upside down in the delivery truck (we didn't let them offload till we actually checked the condition). Needless to say it was broken. We sent it back again. Third time, they came with four people, and still just a little dolly. One of the individuals spoke much better English, which was a refreshing change. However, the vanity countertop was broken again. We decided to buy a different vanity from a different company, hoping they would choose a different logistics company.
3. CEVA also is quite indifferent to the customer. Most likely because, as we found out, I believe they are the only logistics company of their type that is available within this region of Colorado. Makes them less responsive to the needs of the customer or the needs of the companies (who at this point have lost over $6k in merchandise because of their shoddy handling) that use them to deliver products. The first delivery, the individuals that came did not even knock or ring the doorbell when they arrived. They merely stopped came to the door (we have a ring camera), took a picture of themselves there, and left. We were inside the house at the time. We called the driver and he replied, and I quote; "we work for the company and not you", when asked if he could come back by and deliver, since they didn't ring or knock, and we had it on camera as such. We had it delivered again, and they knew two weeks out from the delivery date that we would have them carry a different vanity that weighs nearly 500lbs up a flight of stairs and they would need more than two people to do so. On the scheduled date for delivery, we had to call them to find out when they were coming, and found out that they were not coming, as the delivery truck had left and did not get the vanity on the truck. Pretty piss-poor planning. And when we asked them, after rescheduling, if they would have more than two people to carry a 72 inch long, 500lb vanity with a marble top up a flight of narrow stairs, they told us they are only sending two, because "they do this all the time". Ok, sounds good. We will see and I will not help. If it is broken, and they break something in our house, they will have to pay.
If there is anyone in the Colorado area that wants to start up a logistics company, and you are even halfway decent at Leading, customer (forward facing and back-end) service, basic planning, and common sense, you would probably run these guys out of business real quick and make a killing, of the monetary type.
I would actually like someone in this company that can make decisions and changes to give me a call, as I would be happy to discuss at length. I will not hold my breath though.
