Bottom line...... If you don't like the owner/asian lady then it would be best to support a black owned hair beauty supply store. You'll get followed and stared down along with treated unfairly at most Asian owned supply stores due to it being common. You're money to these people and nothing more. They're not fully knowledgeable of the products yet they sell to you... A black person and or afro Latina with coarser thicker hair texture. How would they know what products work specifically for your hair type? Why do they set up shop in your neighborhood? Why do you spend your money in an establishment that doesn't give back to your community that they have set up shop in? They go back to their respected homes and gated communities (if that) when they close up. They were able to afford all of this with the money you have spent on wigs, crochet hair, makeup, hair oil treatments, relaxers, curling irons etc in their supply stores. Stop! Support your own. Beauty supply stores ran and operated by blacks and Latinas with afro hair exist. I've been by this store and spent a pretty penny as a last minute resort and realized why i stopped going in the first place. They follow you, they're rude, they purposely raise the prices on products when you can get it cheaper elsewhere like online. You're doing a disservice to yourself and your community when you put money in the pockets of those who don't respect nor support you. You pay for their vacations, their new businesses thriving, send their kids to college when you have trouble making ends meet at times. I'm not ranting, but I need for my afro men and women to see this for what it truly is. There's power in all of you. Educate yourself and open your own businesses. Help one teach one

If I could leave zero stars I would. I was treated like a thief and watched as if I were going to steal. My daughter was accused of using a product and told she had to buy the entire bottle. Will never buy anything from this racist store again

as the rating implies, this place is mostly okay.

most of the complaints i'm aware of have to do with customer service--in my experience, however, the only employee that's particularly unpleasant is the son (of the family that owns the store). he's never been especially unpleasant to me, he just appears to REALLY hate being there and it translates into his rather sour behaviour. other than him, nobody else has been too bad.

certainly there are times when i'd like to go somewhere else, but i simply have yet to enter another beauty supply store with the variety/prices they have. i'd definitely say i'm satisfied on that end. plus, the place is clean and organized enough so you can pretty much always find what you're looking for.

all i can say to the prospective customer is: don't go expecting to chat with anyone (except MAYBE the young gals on the sales floor). if you're an "ethnic-looking" person, avoid looking suspicious or you'll be watched the whole time.

Great prices by far! Customer service was alright, but the owner does not have a friendly personality whatsoever, she just goes uh huh uh huh like she is utterly annoyed with everything and everyone. The other employees seemed annoyed as well. And my mom got yelled at for putting the wig THAT SHE WAS GOING TO BUY on the counter. Smh. One of the customers that was shopping had more knowledge and more of a great personality, that was obviously better then the people that actually worked there!! I had to make an account just to comment this review, because that’s how much her demeanor bothered me.

First I wish there would have been a sign somewhere saying all sales are final otherwise I wouldn't have bought an $80 hair dryer that I'm very unhappy with. Second, the Chinese lady that works there is rude. The other lady was a huge help. I wish I could say I was happy about that trip but I'm not.

Hit or miss when it comes to customer service but what I can say is that they do have what we're looking for every time. They tend to have a good variety of different products.
